Bethany College--Spring Into Service!

Teams composed of college students, area children, and adults from the community will perform identified projects with an emphasis on outdoor projects for older adults living alone in their own homes, projects at the community park, and projects at area creeks.

Glenville State College--Recycle Mania

Glenville State College, in collaboration with the WVU 4-H Extension Office in Gilmer County, will engage K-6th grade participants in educational activities that focus on Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling concepts. This project will take place in two different dates during the month of April. The first set of events will take place during the week of April 5-10. The other dates will be April 23-25. Student Organization leaders will start planning in March of what activities will be planned.

YES AmeriCorps Global Youth Service Day 2010

Youth and adult volunteers are invited to join YES AmeriCorps members on Saturday, April 24, 2010 for Global Youth Service Day (GYSD). Service opportunities may include the South Side Community Garden, Kane Street Community Garden, Myrick marsh clean-up, Neighbors Day, and an “Everything” Drive for local youth agencies. Following service, volunteers are invited to a picnic lunch at a local park or garden. Volunteers are asked to preregister by April 15.
