Global Youth Service Day

Organizations' Guide to GYSD

Any organization in any sector (nonprofit/NGO, government, faith-based, business, or association) of any scale (local, statewide, regional, national, or global) can use GYSD as an activation point to engage youth in service or as an opportunity to celebrate youth who serve.

YSA encourages you to use GYSD as a tool to strengthen your programs, form new partnerships, expand your volunteer base, garner media attention, gain support from local public officials, and secure additional funding.

You can also check out tons of other planning resources from YSA.

Register GYSD projects.

Registering your project takes less than 5 minutes, and will add your project to the GYSD Map and the GYSD Impact Report. Registering your project helps YSA tell the story of what's happening all around the world on GYSD, and it helps media, elected officials, partners, and volunteers find your project.

If you are registering 20 or more GYSD projects, outreachatysa [dot] org (subject: GYSD%20Project%20Spreadsheet%20Template) (e-mail YSA's Outreach staff) for a spreadsheet template to add all the projects at once.
