Lowell National Park Earth Day Event

First Bloom, an organization founded by former first-lady, Laura Bush, brings together park rangers, Boys and Girls Club mentors and Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center experts "to create transformative experiences that help kids experience and connect with nature in the national parks and their own backyards." First Bloom educates our children in the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, as well as in eight other cities nationally, about native and invasive plants, and develops an appreciation among our children of nature. National Park Rangers extend their services to our Boys & Girls Club in providing field trips, activities, and engaging lectures. On April 19th, all of the First Bloom groups in the surrounding Boston area will unite, gathering at Lowell National Park to celebrate Earth Day.
